Dear Heeler Friends
It’s hard to believe we are a year old, time flies! As a club our aim is to provide friendship, support and fun for heeler pet owners. In our first year we have been privileged to meet lots of lovely heelers and their owners. Friendships have been formed, owners have been able to ask for advice, we have discovered parts of the country we didn’t know and above all we have had lots of fun.
There is something very special about going for a walk with a “herd of heelers” looking down on the group of smart little black and tans (and livers) tails raised, ears alert all ready for an adventure together. It never fails to turn the heads of passers by! It is on occasions like this that I feel proud to be a heeler owner and part of this wonderful breed.
We combined our A.G.M with our 1st year anniversary. We had a lovely walk around Adderbury lakes and managed to dodge the showers. Then we gathered in the Bell Inn. It was a lovely scene in the cosy side room owners chatting whilst enjoying a drink and some food from the buffet. On the floor and on one or two laps were heelers, most lying calmly by their owner’s feet. All the heelers there were so well behaved and remained so whilst we had our A.G.M.We have had special commemorative rosettes made for all our members. If you haven’t had yours yet you should receive it soon by post.
